The first step is for us to gather all the access details that we need in order to protect and maintain your WordPress website.
We will need:
- Your hosting account log in details
- WordPress administrator log in to your site
- Domain manager log in
If you aren’t sure about any of these, we will assist you to make sure that we have all the information we need.
Once we have all of your access information, we make a full backup of your site, ensure all software is up-to-date, install our security systems and spend time getting to know the ins and outs of your WordPress website.
You can cancel your subscription any time directly from Shop Account Dashboard.
You can also log in to your account at any time and edit any of your personal details – or you may contact us and we will do this for you.
Manual/Automatic and Cloud/Physical Backups
We take our backup procedures seriously.
Database backups are performed daily.
We create multiple copies of your site – stored both on cloud servers and on physical hard drives.
We store a full month’s worth of backups for you.
Should your site need to be restored, we will do this free of charge on request.
All data is encrypted in the backup process and will only be decrypted should a restore be required.
WordPress software updates
WordPress and plugin updates arrive almost daily.
Keeping your website software up-to-date is important, but it is essential to make sure you have a full backup of your site before doing any upgrades.
Larger sites with lots of plugins need updates doing in small stages so that the server can cope with the process.
Conflicts between plugins can occur during upgrades and may need to be restored to an older version or the conflict resolved.
All of these issues are covered for you on a monthly basis without the need to worry at all.
